I've kind of been afraid of posting here for a while but decided to bite the bullet:

11 Months on hormones here:

I think I'm doing okay so far. Have had a few "Miss's" going my way so that's reassuring.
Still paranoid of getting "Sir'd" when I go out.

As for body, I think it's been saving me. My face is like my least favorite part of my body.
Ignore the potato on the right pic. XD

Okay, here is me outside my therapists office about to go to an actual store and shop as me.

Don't feel pressured to be nice.

Ok so what do you reckon, I've been putting the effort in over the last couple of weeks to try and learn how to do my makeup properly (omg liquid eyeliner is the worst!). Currently no HRT and these are my first real attempts at getting anywhere near passability. Unfortunately the wig is a bit cheap and nasty but we've gotta start somewhere eh?!

YAY for you! I don't like when people make no attempts of feminizing, at least you're trying, and it looks very successful for your first time, the wig is actually better than the one with I started with, so props to you for that, I would drop the bottom eyeliner, only use it for the top lashes, I use it sometimes for the bottom, but you need to put it as close to your lashes as possible (which is very hard), and usually only for like a special occasion anyway... Also maybe try filling in your eyebrows with make up!

Thanks so much for the lovely advice! I need to try and get a more natural look, and as you all say the eyeliner is too much. Need to be more subtle! I also started working on my eyebrows this evening, and will be plucking them little by little until I can get a nice shape. The more involved I get at the moment, the more I realise how much it fits with who I feel I am. Thanks again  ^.^ xoxo

I'm not quite sure what's going on with the eyeliner but the rest of you looks amazing!!! Just use it for the lid, or very sparingly underneath but you really need to do the whole smoky eye thing for that to work. With too little other makeup it looks a little strange. But don't forget it took all of us ages to perfect this!!

The real reason I posted was to shout "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" at you for even thinking of plucking your own eyebrows.  ;) Unless you've had training or previous experience then I think it's quite likely to go wrong. Just my opinion, of course, but it's not expensive to have them waxed. I go to an expensive, well reasonably expensive, salon and it's cheap there. So rather than risk looking silly, just find someone qualified to do them for you  :-* Or at least that's what I think, I could be wrong and you might turn out to be the best tweezer-er ever.  :) xx

I don't think you pass right now, but I do think that you have some female characteristics in your face, especially your nose, lips, and mouth (the distance between the base of your nose and upper lip look to be within the normal female range), and I think long hair would benefit you; as well as losing some weight to make your face more slender. I also think that you will improve with more time on hormones.  Best wishes. :)

Pre everything, 23. Since deciding that I want to transition my image problems seem to have gotten much worse. I'm not particularly worried about the body: I'm 5'3/5'4 tops with wide hips. I do think my shoulders are too broad and I'm overweight. I have being dieting lately and dropped about 14 lbs and plan to keep at it, as for the first time in my life I actually care. I'm very hairy but I know I can just get rid of that.

I'm more worried about the face, maybe it's just the anxiety and worrying too much but I can't help but feel that maybe my nose is just too big, my brow too prominent, the shape too far off to ever pass.

So here's me at my worst, an unshaven unkempt mess with absolutely no effort to appear more feminine:

I still have a beard and I've been on hormones for 2 months.  My thought process?  Why bother until I've been on a full transitioning dose for at least 6-9 months (I personally don't think I'm at that level, appointment on the 1st of October) and there's noticeable changes?  So you may be unkept now, but don't lose hope.  It's possible, promise.

Longer hair, trimmed eyebrows, and no facial hair goes an incredibly long way to feminizing your face. I'd say a year on HRT (if that's the route you want to take) and a few non-surgical changes will be amazing for you. :)
Carpe diem.

Needle. I think your face shape lens itself very well for a feminine look :-) it's a very rounded face, and I must say I'm completely jealous of your height and hips!
