First off I just want to say I have been a long time lurker, never making an account or posting here until now.

Seeing all of you go through the hardships and coming out better on the other end inspired me to make an effort to go through it as well. So over the last month or so I was able to finally get on track for a referral to a gender clinic and now I just need to wait.

With that came the topic of this post. I came out to everyone I know over the last few days after finally getting the referral sent off and it has changed my life dramatically.

Little did I know everyone would be so supportive! I can't believe how well it was received. It seemed like everyone knew it was coming and it feels so good to finally be free.

With everything that happened I even started changing my wardrobe and i just feel so comfortable now.

So this post is a way of saying thanks for being so inspiring to help me finally make that push. It means a lot to me.

Congratulations on making this big step! Sometimes people notice the things we are trying to hide way more than we realize. Glad to see it turned out great, it will help a lot to have supportive family and friends.

Hi SofiN, welcome to Susan's. Congrats on coming out to friends and family. It's wonderful that everything went well. I know for me it was nerve racking at first until I found out people were understanding. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs
