I'm needing some help sorting out Jean sizing.
I love Prana clothing, and they have a form fitting Jean that gets awesome reviews and they look great. I think they are Axiom?
So.. There sizing charts really don't convert to my boy body, they go up to size 14 I think
So my measurements are; 32 waist, 32 hips, ( yes, same, narrow little boy bottom, no butt) and 32 inseam usually works good.
So what do order?? 10/12/14??

You go by where ever it's going to be tight. In my case, I have a small waist and large hips of 42 inches. Because of my hips, I can't get into pants unless they are 16. With the same waist and hips, order by the waist size. If you are ordering a skirt this changes a bit. If the skirt is lose, order by the waist size. This can put me into some size 14 skirts. Sadly the last shorts I ordered were designed for someone with a larger waist so they tend to slide down on me. I am going to need a belt to wear these if I don't want them on the floor.

I'm 5'5" about 120 lbs, wore 32/32 male jeans and I wear a female size 4p-6p, it depends on the jeans.

Dena, Thanks. So there chart says size 8 for 32 waist, but they say these are for 38" hips, they are form fitting, so I guess I should not worry about there hip number, do as you say and order by waist?
It is such a hassle to return when ordering online, these are not available to see or try anywhere local that I know of
The name is Kara jeans, very cute.
Love you girls

I would order by waist. If in doubt, only order one pair until you know for sure.

I'm so confused now!
After reading reviews every color fits a little different, great. I was thinking 8/ now 10, but certain colors run larger/smaller depending on fabrics, oh my, I need to not worry, and when they don't fit, send them back, and if they do fit great, I can scream with joy!
Thanks

Chrissy5946-

I used to wear 32" waist jeans in my previous life; i'm a little more hippy these days but I can still pour myself into a size 10 jean with a little effort (and a little cussing).

Women's sizing is all over the map so the jeans you are looking at might fit... or might not.

Pants are tricky.

Cis-F have butts, hips, smaller waist. Cis-M have no butts, hips, waist same as hips. Waistband and butt in W pant can hang strangely off men hips/waist. W pelvis tilts forward and affects drape on pants.

Like shoes, lots of variation in cut/style. Best to try on for fit.

I'm sitting on 5'2" (62 inches/ 157.5 cm), when I wore male pants had worn 28"/30"s
But when i switched over to women's pants I'm looking into size 2 short, or up to size 4 short dependant on the brands.

I am 33 around the waist.  A size 12 fits me good. If you get a size that is slightly too small you can go to the next size  and use the petite size.  For example if a size 10 fits you just a bit too snug, try a size 12 petite. Also short is normally 28" long, regular is close to 30" long, and the long size is close to 34" long in the legs. It takes trying some sizes on to make sure you get the size you want.  When i started wearing fem jeans i went to the local goodwill store and tried on several pairs.  I was 34" then and a 14 fit better, but it depends on the manufacturer. Hope this helps.

I went to a great store today... Owner was so good, I ended up in Size 8, very stretchy, and I'm so in love in these, I'm not doing mens jeans again, these fit me perfectly!
Thanks for the help
