I just wanted to share this experience that happened yesterday at the gym.

I was going through my routine, looked up into the mirror near by and for a few seconds the face that looked back wasn't male. In the right light at the right angle I could see myself!

It made me so happy I just had to share :D

Congratulations and the real you will be there more and more.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

Depending on the angle and the light, sometimes I see a man, at other times a woman.

I still remember the day. I was looking at the bathroom mirror and suddenly my mothers face was looking back at me. I could never figure out which side of the family I resembled but that day answered my question.

Yes. Genetics.

People say my little daughter is a xerox copy of me. Even favorite food and personality are the same. The major difference is she is XX and I am XY. And, a problem is that she is very aggressive, like a macho boy.

Thank you all for your congratulations :)

@Dena:
People would always tell me that I looked just like my father, sometimes we were confused for brothers, and when meeting my paternal great aunt for the first time she said "You're definitely one of ours you have the family nose".

I ended up with my mothers nose and that wasn't a good thing. It took plastic surgery to get the hump out of it.

I've had two or three moments where I could see Kristina staring back at me for a brief moment, but today (and it gets worse everyday it seems) I look in the mirror and see my mother staring back as well!  My heart skips a beat and I panic for a second.  People said I looked like her when I was a child too, so I guess that's the direction I'm headed!

Towards the end of my old life, I got to avoiding looking in the mirror altogether.  Couldn't bare to see that ugly man looking back; you know, the one who was keeping me prisoner.  After two years of HRT and then FFS 6 months ago, I don't mind looking at my reflection anymore.  Now I think I spend too much time looking at myself in the mirror.....tee hee!  :-*

I remember the first time I looked in the mirror, and saw myself as a girl and the feeling of hope that I had. Knowing it was possible to look the way I feel on the inside made me so giddy :D

That's wonderful congrats. Reminds me of the experiences I have getting a glimpse of myself in mirrors in different places. Hugs
