you know, ten years ago satin lingerie was in. a satin bra with some seems and matching satin panty with seems and designs with a full coverage on the derriere was considered sexy. now lingerie concentrates on lack of seems and less material. actually you can rarely find satin lingerie. There are all of these microfiber flat materials that feel like a flower or a rubber band. they aren't slick or shiny like satin was.  personally i like lingerie styles from ten years ago than i do today. i know that everything changes but..

Katia,

I have to agree.  Nothing feels as good as a satin nightie to sleep in.

Satin's OK for seduction, but microfibers are the best for wearing them all day long.
Satin's got no real support unless its very tights, microfibers I barely notice them
all day. Some by the most stylish companies are very nice. Maybe you've seen too
many cheap microfibers bras? You still find satin bras if you want them. At
least 3 chains specializing in lingeries have full assortments here.

I know what you mean! I save the satin & silk for special occasions. Cotton is my first choice, especially when it's hot! It's got to breathe or it;s just not comfortable to wear all day.

My favourite lingerie; a big tee shirt and panties for the summer and a long sleeve men's shirt and panties for the winter. so comfy :)

I really like satin too, as long as it is smooth and filled properly; however, I wish the material wasn't so thin because when you don't have what it takes to fill the bra, and the material gets bunched up and loose, it just doesn't have the same appeal.  So, for me, I think padded bras are a must. I also think some of the microfiber bras are pertty good especially if they have shiny satiny look to them.  Katia is right though, it does seem like most companies focus more attention on microfiber or even lace lingerie.  I would much rather wear satin.

For summer, I agree.  For winter it's a polo shirt or something else that's a gentle fit.  I also like satin but it's pretty difficult to find a long-length satin nightgown in my size.  I ain't petite.

If you are looking for satin:
Victorias Secret Second Skin Satin collection is great.

I have a lot from that collection.

Body by Victoria and Secret Embrace from Vicy's Secret are definetely my fav line of bras.
Best support, really comfy and nice looking as well.

Vicys also has a cotton underwire yoga bra that rocks for working out.

Other than that, Calvin Clein and Tommy Hellfigger also make really good bras and sets.

You can find good deals on stuff on Ebay.
New, and hard to find styles from some store somewhere where it didn't sell or whatever.

Personally chemises, camisoles, babydoll styles, bottoms combi and french knickers, also attractive but practical bra and french knicker set.  Said another way, something that is comfortable, looks sexy without being overly revealing and does not make me look fat!

Lol.  Sometimes I wear that type of lingerie too.  Depends on my mood.

You might try Beauty Boutique
http://www.beautyboutique.com/cgi-bin/beauty/cate_id/xinlnwnig/item_browse_bb.html?place_mark=13&keywords=&sortbyprice=
that has a few remaining Vanity Fair ballerina nightgowns which have satin trim, and a full-length nylon I haven't tried.  Also the satin trimmed waltz length VF that I wear to bed every night.  These don't seem to be sold in stores right now, but can attest to how comfortable they are.

I love satin bras and panties. Victoria's Secrets second skin satin is great

The clothing I wear is picked because it works.
I don't really give it too much thought after finding what works best for me.
When it's cold thigh highs and a garter belt are way easier to manage than men's long johns.
Because of lower back problems a corset helps keep the weight of my upper body off my spine. It is also nice when I get self conscious about getting fat.
And, Vanity Fair high cut cotton panties fit better than men's types such as Fruit Of The Loom. They keep everything in place without cutting into my thighs and private parts. That is, when purchased in smaller sizes.

I beg to differ her. I mean, why bother wearing clothes at all to bed?

Otherwise, I want clothes that are comfy, and not noticeable. I don't want to be wearing clothes most of the time, so I prefer clothes that I can't even feel against my skin. More important than looks is always feel. When I go shopping, you would probably think I was blind because I spend the entire time just touching things. Personally I don't like satin or silk, it tends to catch on stubble that was shaved too long ago.
