Right well...Im new to these forums, and I found quite more mtfs than ftms, but I did see a section for ftm so I guess I'll jump in and hope the topic fits in place

Now, as someone who is thankfully already quite flat-chested, I dont necessarily need to bind. But it still doesnt feel quite flat enough...and it bugs me sometimes. I was wondering if it would make any difference at all to go ahead and get one, because being more flat than before would be awesome!

If you're naturally fairly small you may not need a binder to get completely flat. You could probably achieve it with a good sports bra or a layered tank top (or some combination thereof). Of course, if it makes you feel better to get one, go ahead. But if it isn't necessary with your dysphoria, I wouldn't. They are really uncomfortable and can lead to all kinds of horrible health issues if worn for too long or incorrectly.

I am fairly flat chested as well I'm in the range of a small b maybe large a in bra size, but anyways I started off with a sports bra but then went to a binder cause I didn't feel comfortable wearing a ''bra'' it just added to my dysphoria. if you do choose to wear a binder don't wear it more then 8 hours and never sleep in it. I know if I go longer then the 8 hour period I start to get sore and ftmax is right they can lead up to horrible health problems.

Yeah, I dont bother wearing bras anymore, Ive been wearing tanks/layering. I may get at least one in the future to see how I feel about it.
