The Taken King's titular character is transgender (although you're forgiven if that's a surprise)

"Destiny's most recent expansion, The Taken King, is centered around a transgender character. That's big enough news, but the more interesting question is the following: Why wasn't this discussed in the gaming press?"

I am rather excited about this, I had to take a few days to cheak things out. But ya confirmed The taken king was once the eldest of three sisters who when given the power to alter there own flesh choose a male form which is fantastic.

So WHOOO to bungie for useing a trans character as your title character in your game. though a bit BOO to bungie for burying the information so deep into the meta lore that even I didn't find it, and I am the girl who once read every book in scarlet monastary.

On a personal note this is a bit of a problem for me, because now I know when I am shooting rockets into the taken kings face its trans on trans violence and that's just wrong :-P

Wow, is trans on trans violence a media thing now? XD  I really hope not, there is enough stuff in the world to worry about 8(

But that is really cool! Wish it were a BIT more obvious and I imagine many cis folk will be happy to ignore it.  Very cool all the same, though!
