HI Girls,

So I'm now 4 months post surgery glottoplasty done by Prof Remacle, this is a quick video giving you my feedback on my voice.

Seriously I'm amazed by the result. May the gods praise the glottoplasty :)

What do you think ?

I think it sounds pretty good. Definitely feminine. I don't hear much resonance really either.

Thank you IKate

Yes the resonance is gone for ever....This surgery is the best I had and I can't wait June next year

How does Prof Remacle get rid of the resonance? I thought that glottoplasty does not do anything to it.

He has done nothing more than what has been already described on other threads describing what the glottoplasty is doing

Then there are other factors. I didn't think that glottoplasty was capable of modifying resonance.

I think the doctors make this claim to manage expectations. The vocal folds themselves have less to do with resonance than, say, the shape of your oral and nasal passageways but in terms of physics I think it would be impossible to alter the size of the vibrating mass without having some effect on resonance even if slight or nearly imperceptible.   Just like many aspects of this surgery, those specific changes seem to vary greatly from person to person.
