Well I was fully aware that going into HRT I was going to have effects on my erections and decreased libido.  Six weeks into my HRT I no longer can get erect fully and as of last night was so flacid I was unable to achieve penetration.  Also I have noticed my libido really dropping off the charts. I know I am on HRT to change my gender but I feel conflicted in my overall goals.  My realistic goal is too achieve any breast growth to the fullest and also fill out my body fat to more feminine proportions.  Breast growth is happening as my nipples are changing visibly and have fast become my wifes favorite change so far.  My penis is more than adequate for intercourse and has allowed me to please. Now that body part is no longer truly functioning I feel diminished due to that fact.  I want to be able to please my wife so she enjoys our intimate time together but apparently I need to rethink how I will be able to do that without my penis.  I know there are toys and also other ways of stimulation for her.  I don't mind oral and she really has always seemed to enjoy that technique.  I guess my main question I want to ask is should I get some Viagra for when I want to become erect and does anyone have any experience with how well it works when on a full MtF regimen.  I am really worried about this so much I have even considered stopping HRT after the month is up.  I have 6 weeks under my belt so far and another 12 weeks of HRT left before I run out.  I don't know how to proceed now even when my chest has just begun responding to the hormones.  I don't want to stunt any potential breast growth by stopping now but losing my erection so soon really sucks.  Please can anyone give me some advice or maybe some encouragement to just keep with the HRT because I am so conflicted.

HRT is different for everyone, but I haven't lost functionality.  I can't ejaculate, but that is ok.  The libido should pick back up on its own.

I think it's natural to be scared and un-sure about bottom surgery when you start out, especially when you have working male genitalia.   But in my experience, HRT is equal to chemical castration.   If you stay on it, you shrink down there, and eventually the erections go away.   You may want to research what happens after someone has an orchie (if you're not looking for GRS) to see if that's what you want, because without testosterone, penetration might be a little difficult.

To answer the question of transition I am still on the fence as far as full reassignment goes.  I am going through HRT currently so I can achieve breast development and body shape while I am still young.  I know I am transgender as this has been an issue I have had to deal with ever since I was a small child.  I always knew I should have been a girl and apparently so did my classmates because I was relentlessly teased as a child for being different.  I never tried to be feminine as a child and was forced to suppress any tendencies so as not to be teased. Heck I was in denial for my later teen years but after school I stopped denying my feelings.  So I know I want my body to be feminine for sure, but honestly I am fond of my penis so hence the worry about function.  My wife fully supports any decision but I can tell she is fond of my penis too.  So given that and everything involved with SRS I don't really know but unless some breakthrough in medical science happens I most likely will not completely transition.

I'll trade you. The biggest difference now and 10-11 months ago is there are no fish in the pond. Also I don't have nearly as much interest as I did, but I still do more than I would like.

I wonder if you can have some back up play for the duration of your current meds and see how happy you are with the way your body is looking breast and body fat wise?  I know my first worries when going on T was gaining more body hair and facial hair than i wanted, so the doctor let me take a low dose and bump it up gradually.  I am now on a full dose, but I could have remained lower dose for a long time.  Not sure if your meds would be possible to reduce, but perhaps discuss with your Doctor?  I know that many things like libido can come back, sometimes while still on HTR, but for sure after lowering dosage?

I think your Doctor would know best if Viagra would help or not be effective.  I imagine they may want you to try to wait a little longer to see if things improve on their own?  It's possible to balance things if you prefer to have a functioning penis and enjoy your sex life with the ability to have erections, I am just not sure of the proper way to do it.

Actually I had that problem at first. However it functions just like normal now. Its just not as frequent and I'm fishing without bait.

I have the same worries, so I'm glad you brought this up.

I agree with Aazhie, maybe bring up your concerns with your doctor and see what options there are.
