Hello Aubrey! It sounds like we have a lot in common. I am quite a bit older than you, but if you have found your career choice in nursing at this age, congratulations! I worked a little over a year as a CNA. I worked as a female, nobody cared about the trans thing, one or two people wanted to ask questions, which was a little annoying, but most people never noticed. It's all about the residents! I decided the work was too hard for me (I'm 56), and since I could not go back to my old profession, I decided to make nursing a career. I recently graduated from a very good private school, and as soon as I take my state board exam, I'll be an LPN. Honey, we are extremely in demand, and I doubt if you could find a more honorable, rewarding career. Stick with it and go for it if you love it! And best of luck in your transition!
