From what I've seen there has been extreme backlash towards the individual who made the hurtful comments.

I hope he is being dealt with accordingly and not taken seriously.

... yet another thing wrong with the canadian education system... we have publicly funded religious schools.

I really hate when someone does something like this to a young kid. I mean, at least older people usually are better able to take it. But a kid? Come on...

One question that I'd really love to ask to those people who say that we can't be transgender because that's basically saying God made a mistake: How do we know God didn't MEAN to put us in the wrong body, to teach us to be more accepting of others differences?

I just take them at their word.  God doesn't make mistakes.  Therefore God did it on purpose.  It therefore follows that their God is. a sadistic monster only worthy of worship by sociopaths. 

And yet reading their comments always depresses me, not because they make any sense but because there are so many of them.  I feel like one of the last humans living in the land of the Walking Dead.

See, that's why while I sort of believe in God, I consider the Bible to be a pile of empty words written by people who died a really long time ago. It's true.

Nah, "bad" stuff like dancing, black people, indigenous people, "interracial" love, muslims, homosexuals, transgender folk, etc. are the devil's work.  From my limited understanding of the bible, god is perpetually amused by satan's antics and gives him free reign of the place.
