Yesterday was a pivotal day in my journey of transition. I finally locked in my date and set the schedule for my surgery in Jan. While I thought that after getting this news, I'd be jumping for joy and broadcasting it to the world, it was a quite different experience. Somewhat anti-climatic! It was a peaceful day of reflection and serenity. Last night, however, I had a very vivid dream. It started with me being in a bed and being cared for by nurses. I was receiving post op care after my surgery and the nurses were all looking at my new girl parts and making comments about the success of the op. I could see nothing. This is the 1st and only dream I have ever had about my impending GCS. The only thing that was left out was the dreaded dilation. I guess the dream fairy was really being sweet. Had it been a part of the dream it could easily have shifted into the realm of a mini-nightmare. Woke up feeling great! It's not often that I can remember a dream long after I've been awake. What a night!
