British transgender teen claims he was turned away from barbershop because of 'different hair'

"A British transgender teenager has claimed he was refused a haircut at a barbershop that is for "gentlemen only."

Evander Gould, who was assigned the female gender at birth but now identifies as male, says he was denied a trim because transgender people "have different hair."

The 16-year-old says staff turned him away and said they were not insured to cut women's hair."

The shop's story seems very inconsistent. On one hand they say they're not trained to cut women's hair, but on the other they say their policy is not to be taken seriously.
