hello everyone.I am new to this but not a spring chicken anymore..still struggling with it and thinking about coming out but working on it and myself..at first i believed it was more a fetish then an actual personality,but as i look back on my life and see why things have been as they ended up i can see it is more than likely based on my female persona and feeling more feminine on the inside then masculine..anyways..hello and thank you for the site.

thank you all..an yes hindsight is 20/20 but maybe i should have looked back a little sooner..lol..anyways..we did not have the resources then that the future generations have now, or will, for the support..so everything comes in it's own time..even personal epiphanies. thanx again everyone.

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

On the subject of "coming out" make sure you don't do it solo. Coming out is in effect you accepting you, for who you are. What anyone else thinks of that is their problem, not yours. If you are totally and honestly happy and content with who you are; that's  all that matters.

If you're not really sure of where you stand, seek the help of a gender therapist. They can help navigate the labyrinth of emotions and feelings and help find the answer you hold inside.

Give up the struggle and accept yourself for who you are. You can't be anyone else, they're all taken. Just be YOU. I like you that way.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

hello everyone,

I am melissa,a crossdresser mostly  deeply closeted and seeking out like minded friends to come out and maybe start venturing into public at outings or just to meet others like myself in time.I am very shy at the moment when it comes to being out,so please be patient as i am like i said still becoming more confident.I love dressing completely head to toe,I am trying my best to become more fem,by losing weight,dieting,trying to excersice to be more shapely,belly dancing and yoga practice for now..it is working I have lost about 25 lbs in 6 months total..and am looking to lose up to maybe another 20.i don't want to be too skinny so i will wait and see the results as time progesses.anyways i have been dressing since i was an infant,first with tights,pantyhose and being scolded by parents for not being a boy..and started trying to act more manly after that point.so i live my outside life a man,and inside i am i believe a lady..anywyas..looking forward to meeting others on here to chat and exchanging support and being active to help others as well as myself to grow.thanks for the welcomes in advance,I would have attached a pic to this but am not able to just yet i suppose.

While there is a cross dresser form, you need not restrict your self to that area. The MTF form covers appearance, voice and passing information that may prove useful to you. This site is based on ->-bleeped-<- is a discomfort with our body and we seek to resolve our issue. We may find a different solution to the problem but we are sharing in a common journey. The separate areas only exist to make it easer to locate needed information. I commonly find myself offering advice all over the site including advice to FTMs. It may sound a bit strange as I am a MTF but we have a surprisingly large amount of things in common.

Welcome! As some one who is pretty much finished being turned into a girl (2+ years), its a long & winding road. You may stop, take a break then start up. This is normal. You may lose some friends, you may gain some. I did. The friends of yours who are true will guide you & stick  w/ you. I like how I look. I don't look like Jennifer Lawrence but I sure don't look like Joey Lawrence. LOL. Be happy w/ you.  

well thank you all for the warm welcome,and the support,I am a crossdresser,but I do identify as a bisexual even though i have never been romantic with any men yet,i still have a strong connection in that area..but i don't think it is a sexual as much as a physical and mental gender feeling..i do relate to transgender a bit more than just as a crossdresser..i think i mostly crossdress to feel at home in my own body..it is nice to feel feminine even if only in fabric alone.so anyways my goal in this life...hmmm? i think that still has yet to reveal itself to me..I don't even know what i would like for dinner this evening..lol..but i do have goals..small steps for now.and I think it is a fine line..first dressing to feel more feminine,then maybe other things to make one feel more fem,it is a series of steps to maybe bring one to the realisation you are transgendered in any event either by going all the way or just by wading in the shallow end..it is still the same ocean..some can swim in the deep..and i admire that.
