Right so...I thought I made a post on this already.

I read on one of the stickied threads that T supplements are not the same as HRT...

However, what would the effects be, anything? I cant get anything prescription right now, I was hoping there was another way. I hear zinc also helps.

But could I expect any masculinizing traits at all from supplements?

Self medicating with T is either a useless waste money or a dangerous activity. In addition it is a forbidden subject to discuss under the TOS. Regular blood test are needed to ensure your liver isn't being damaged and to ensure the dose you are receiving is in the proper range. The only safe ways is to have an Endo handle the treatment. I suspect the reason you can get the prescription is because you are under age. If so, blockers will do you more good as they will prevent further feminine development and help ease the discomfort you feel as the result of the estrogen. Again they require and Endo to find the correct dose to block estrogen production while minimizing the side effects of the blockers.

I honestly have heard mixed reviews about supplements. Some people swear by them, but personally I have never seen anything that would come close to being proven to work.

He's talking about supplements, not actual testosterone.  I read the TOS and see nothing about supplements. 

OP, save your money, so you'll have it when you are able to get a prescription.  Supplements are a waste.  They'll either be those that only work if you have testicles or ones that do nothing but make money for the producers of said supplements. 

Ah, thats kind of dissapointing. I dont know how to see a doctor and get a prescription right now, I dont have that money or ability yet. I was hoping there was some alternative that could be done.

A doctor would prescribe them. Everything with medically transitioning is going to involve a doctor.

Can you see a doctor wihout insurance?

Depends on where you live and the facilities around you. In the US, some doctors will see you without insurance but they may require a certain amount to be paid in cash prior to being seen.

Blockers tend to be fairly costly, much more so than HRT. You can totally see a doctor without insurance.  What you should do is call doctors around your area to see if they see do HRT for trans patients and if they say yes, find out what they require for you to get on HRT.  If you have a planned parenthood near you they usually offer HRT services.
