Hey all!

Just thinking, I was reading some FtM topics, and I was just like "whaaat!! you don't like your female body, I would give my life for it!".

The nature is so unfair. Am I the only one feeling this way?

I am sorry, just venting...

I love that ftm threads and discussions tend to be mirror opposites of mtf. Hands, voice, hips, hair, boobs and downstairs! The best part is that we all meet in the middle. Some of us continue past the middle and some of us find our place there but we all pass through the same axis.

I have always identified as a tomboy and many ftm folks seem to have passed through tomboy fazes on their way to self realization. I even get mistaken for an ftm spectrum person. I have told folks in lgbt or trans spaces that I am trans and they just assume that I am ftm. I realized once I began my path that I was not moving male to female but male to trans/me. It is important for me to express my masculine side through my dominant feminine side. Hence, tomboy...I am finding more comfort outside of cis standards and rules. Non binary? Sure but not without the reference points of the binary.

One of my biggest points of contacts with my ftm siblings outside of some behavior and life experience is my voice. I sound like an effeminate trans guy.

There isn't really conscious choice involved. We're not choosing to reject our bodies, we feel what we feel because we have a condition that is not 'normal'. 'Normal' people don't even feel this feeling the way we do, evidently. Many of them have no idea what we are talking about when we speak of it, and very little idea just how debilitating it is.

So to think about it as if we're just throwing away something you might be envious of... don't forget we wouldn't even be thinking of doing such a thing unless it caused us considerable suffering...

Those without this problem seem to be on the whole completely oblivious to it. Which means we can't look at ourselves as just normal people who happen to dislike what we've got. It's definitely not as simple as that.

I don't see MtF people and think they're throwing away something I would love to have. Everyone's case is individual and not something I can judge. Their bodies can't be mine. Only one can be mine, and it has to be changed, is all.

Heey, I didn't mean that, I know the suffering, that's why I said "vice-versa". Sorry if I wasn't clear with my feelings.

It's envy, maybe, I think is more disappointed with the nature by doing these stuff with us.

Well, nature is full of randomness and mistakes that sometimes turn out to be beneficial, or sometimes disastrous. Like Dawkins said, evolution is a Blind Watchmaker... it may work to a sort of plan, but it still works blindly. And it can only work with whatever material it's already been given.

Unlike the idea of a god who specifically made things to be the way they are, I find it hard to blame a blind process like nature for our predicament.

Well, try to look at the positives if you can.

For example, being trans means you probably have a much wider understanding of the genders and their abilities than cis people do. You may well be good at a wider range of tasks than average people due to having a sort of 'hybrid brain' and body. The perspective of experience we have is wider, too, and perspective is a useful thing.

Ive always felt this way too and been thankful for that even if the other stuff isn't so great.  One example comes from what I have read that men navigate spacially and women navigate by landmarks.  I always had trouble categorizing myself in this regard until I realized I did both, switching back and forth and using whichever one was better suited at the moment.  And I never get lost.  It's almost like having a GPS in my head.  I could cite some other examples I have realized too.

Maybe these "talents" are biology's peace offering for mixing everything else up.  LOL

It's really too bad you can't just find an opposite trans and swap genders with them... *sigh*

I do. I think that all the time, tbh. sometimes I get wildly jealous of my transfem friends, especially when they talk about GCS. I don't think it's that uncommon a sentient. Uncharitable, maybe, but I don't think it's unusual to have those fleeting pang of "oh, how could you! Don't you know you have everything I want!"

I think there should be a warehouse exchange for the FTM's discontinued clothes (expensive dresses would be nice , but anything towards the feminine would be appreciated  Shoes and purses and cosmetics too. In exchange for the unwanted suits and ties etc. of the MTF's.

My girlfriend and I are swapping wardrobes, and that's nice. But sometimes I wish we could just swap bodies too. So does she.
