So very excited!  I went out in public as the real me, Kaylee, for the first time.  The wife and I were baby free and she wanted to have a girls night ;D  So I did it, and it was fantastic, and so freeing to finally be who I truly am.  I wasn't even nervous (well a little, only when I needed to talk.)

At the restaurant, I got checked out by one of the men waiting his turn for a table (they really don't try to hide it.)  Even told the host to seat us first.  Got to our table, and waitress immediately said, "well hello ladies." ;D

We ordered desert, simple ice cream to celebrate the big occasion, and the chef sculpted the ice cream scoop to be a rose.  Didn't even ask for it, the waitress just told us that he saw us and wanted to do something special ;D

The night was so fantastic, and I can't thank this wonderful community enough to help build my courage to accomplish this step of my transitioning.  Your stories, and advice in posts helped so much ... Just want to give everyone a big hug!

Now the confidence is exploding.  I can do this and look pretty darn cute.  I really can't wait to see what HRT will do.

Hugs!

Congratulations!  So is this like Resident Evil 3: Nemesis where the achievement unlocks a new outfit?

I so remember playing as Jill Valentine in that skirt and bustier...

Haha, I wish ;)  The new outfit doesn't unlock until my credit card is processed :P

Fabulous! You look great too! My wife and i did something similar to your night out in Seattle for a week. It's odd when you experience things for the first time. I have never had guys look at me and then all of a sudden they are just staring. I really had no clue! had to ask my wife... what's with these guys? To which she replied, "They are thinking dirty thoughts!" :)

I was nervous to talk too! I seemed to get into a groove and was very comfortable by the weeks end. Keep it up! You will level up and what was hard before will be easy based on your experience :)

It s a great feeling, esp when  guys take notice and are chivalrous, towards you. Im so happy for you.   If speaking is an issue I try to soften voice and change my inflection to a bit more female.

The ball is now rolling....I hope it doesnt run me 0ver

Round two of going out wasn't too eventful.  Nobody seemed to care, which leads me to believe I'm part of the normal crowd :P  But was another fun night, dressed a little more casual for this evening ;D

Haha, I probably would agree with what your wife said, also doesn't help that my boots easily put me over 6 feet tall ... so that alone will cause some glances I'm sure.

Thanks so much.  I'm experimenting with a few things, softening the voice is one of them.  I've also been signing along to my music (which is mostly female artists), and trying to translate that pitch and range to normal speaking.  It works for a little while, then drops back to the man zone.  Practice makes perfect!
