2 Weeks on T, No Noticable Changes

So I have been on T for two weeks now at  a week or  and the only changes I have noticed are a very slight increase in libido.  No voice changes, no hair growth, no increase in energy, no anything at all.  Now I know that T effects everyone different, but I am wondering if I am being impatient or if I should ask my doctor at my next visit to do .  He put me on  because he said there is less chance of acne (which honestly I'm not all that worried about) and said if I was unhappy with the amount we could go up.  And it's true, while me skin is ever so slightly greasier, I have had no acne at all.  But I just feel as if I'm not taking the T at all.  Yet at the same time, I know you have to be patient.  Argh, I just don't know what to do.  I am thinking about actually calling my doctor and asking him if I can just do the  instead of the .  I don't want to just do it without telling him cause next visit they will be checking my levels.  Man, I feel so impatient, yet it is frustrating to hear other people talk about how T effects them and to feel absolutely no different at all.

Mod Edit - no dosages please

You are being impatient. When you get your levels checked that will tell you if the dose needs to go up.

Yeah man. I'm 4 months on it and am getting my levels checked in December. It takes time. The only noticeable thing I could see 2 weeks in was bottom growth. I thought my voice was changing but I was overlooking it too much. I'd give it 1-2 months for the heavy stuff. I'm sorry, most of us on here know the struggle of waiting. it's so worth it.

Nobody I've ever known sees drastic changes in two weeks. I had a cold at two weeks. Be patient. A year will go by without you realizing it.

Hey, as Alex has said I think you may be impatient. I'm a week on T and have the same problem. Each time I'm in the bathroom I have to look in the mirror for signs of facial hair or fat redistribution. But nothing yet so can't help but worry that the T isn't working or I need to learn it'll take time.
They/them pronouns preferred.

Yeah, that's what I figured, but it just drives you crazy, you know?  I swear, time only passes slowly when I am waiting for something.  When I am putting off working (I work from home) it flies by, and suddenly it's 6pm and I haven't done my 8 hours of work yet!  Or when I have something I don't want to do coming up, suddenly two weeks have passed in a flash and the time has come.  So not cool, Time. ;)

Oh, and sorry about posting about dosages!  I swear I read the rules when I first signed up, but it's been awhile since I have been on here and I'd forgotten.  On the bright side, during that time I came out to my friends and family last week, and they are all very supportive.  My mom is even reading "Just Add Hormones" and keeps calling me to ask questions.  My parents aren't calling me "he" yet, but I haven't asked them to, either.  I want them to have a chance to get used to the idea without putting undue pressure on them.  I'm pretty sure that once T changes start to set in they will be more open to using the correct pronoun.  Apparently no one was particularly surprised about this, especially not my friends.

2 weeks isn't much time at all. It takes time to work and will very for everyone. Don't worry you will see changes soon enough. I know waiting stinks. I disliked the wait early on too. Hugs

I'm a week and a half in, and I've heard of a lot of people getting better sleep and more energy right off the bat. I've had horrible sleep lately and was hoping for something like that. Alas, nothing. I thought at first my appetite was going crazy from the T, then realized it's just because I ran out of my green tea diet pills. >.<

2 weeks in I think I had a bit of bottom growth and maybe an increase of libido (which could have been placebo). In my small circle of trans friends the voice didn't start dropping until 6-8 weeks, hair changes and fat redistribution started around 3-4 months (which is also slow).

Try to keep in mind it takes cisguys several years to go through puberty, and we're not much different.

The upside is that if you're presenting consistently male, once the voice drops passing publicly becomes pretty easy.

I don't recall seeing any real changes after two weeks.  It will do its thing, you just have to give it time.

Yeah, patience is not my best virtue.  ;)  I'm at about three weeks now, and I have decided that my appetite has definitely increased.  I don't eat more at individual meals than before, but I eat like three more meals a day than I did before, LOL.  I have gained like two pounds according to my scale, though I can't see them on my body, so hopefully some of it is from the gym workouts.  I also have some crazy wet dreams.  I had a bit of bottom growth my first week to two weeks, but it seems to have stopped (or at least slowed) now.

I wish that I presented as male, but I am pretty consistently ID'd as female.  I get 'sir'd' maybe once every ten or fifteen times.  (Here in the South, people feel like they have to call you sir or m'am, the poor things!  I feel so bad for them, as I CAN see the terror in their eyes that they've ID'd me wrong and are about to be punched in the face by an angry teenaged boy, LOL.  Luckily for them, I'm not exactly militant--they can call me what they want; it's not their fault I'm hovering somewhere in the middle.)  I am not sure whether it is my looks or my voice that ruins my ability to pass, however, because I am one of those people that you just can't shut up if you try, so people ALWAYS hear my voice.  I guess once my voice starts dropping, I will find out if my looks can pass or not!  I am pretty tall and have no curves, so I think there is a good chance.  I guess I could try shutting my mouth and seeing if I can pass when I don't talk, but I REALLY like to talk.   :P

I'm nine months on and I barely notice anything new these days besides a little body hair now and then. So trust me, I know how much the wait sucks to see things happen.

I'm 1 month on T and I don't notice any changes. Unless getting really good sleep with really vivid dreams is an effect of T, because that happened last night. But it hasn't been a regular thing. I have been waking up earlier and sleeping less. But again, I can't say for sure if it's the T.

Hey, I've been doing it that, too!  Last night I went to bed at 4:00 AM and woke up at 9:00AM feeling fine.  Before T I slept at least 8-10 hours a night if not more.  Interesting.  I wonder if this is what they mean when they say more energy (not that I feel any more energetic... I just don't need as much sleep!)

I also noticed the sleep thing when I first went on T. I went from needing 8 1/2 - 9 hours a night to sleeping 6 or 7 and feeling fine. I can still get by with less, but one thing which hasn't changed is that if I'm short on sleep (less than 7 - 8 hours), my distance vision gets worse. But that's an aging thing, and I never really thought T would make me younger. (Although sometimes it feels that way... )
