Here's what is in heavy play either at home or in the car.

Oldies from the 1960s and 1970s (my youth):

     -  Norrie Paramor and John Sbarra:  'Sharon' (--Why not.  It was my theme song when I was a radio DJ.--)

     -  Shocking Blue:  'Long and Lonesome Road'/'California Here I Come'/'Poor  Boy' (medley), 'Railroad Man', 'Eve and the Apple', 'Rock in the Sea', 'Blossom Lady', 'This America', 'We're Shocking You', 'I'll Follow the Sun', 'I'm A Woman'

     -  George Harrison:  'Wonderwall'  (--The entire album is a great mix of sitar, rock, and country--)

     -  Michel Polnareff:  'Allô, Georgina', 'Ame Caline', 'Tout, Tout Pour Ma Chérie' 'La Michetonneuse', 'La Poupee Qui Fait Non', 'Dans la Maison Vide', 'Qui A Tué Grand-Maman ?', 'Le Roi des Fourmis,' 'Mes Regrets'

     -  Patti Smith:  'Privilege (Set Me Free)', 'Victory'

And the 1980s:

     -  Plague of Locust:  'Utah, Gateway to Nevada', 'Trolling for Moroni', 'Jack Mormon'

And current:

     -  Elle King:  'Ex's & Oh's'

     -  21 Pilots:  'Stressed Out',  'Tear In My Heart'

     -  X Ambassadors:  'Renegade'

     -  Muse:  'We Will Be Victorious'

Music is one way we each hold meaning to our lives.

I've been pretty down lately, so Nickleback (ugh) and Seether :P

Nicklebutt's first album is actually fairly decent, and Karma & Effect by Seether is a gem.

Quit Your Low Down Ways - Manfred Mann's Earth Band (Bob Dylan cover)

A rather dirty-sounding, wah-wah heavy rendition featuring Mick Rogers down-to-earth yet beautiful lead vocals and female (i presume, but it's hard to tell) backing vocals during the choruses. Also a nice guitar solo and brilliant drumming by Chris Slade.

Recorded for the american edition of the "Nightingales And Bombers" album.

The Band At The Hollywood Bowl (bootleg)

recorded by the notorious "Rubber Dubber" bootleg label.
This is a quite nice audience capture. It was a bit quiet though, with the in-between audience cheering (they stay quiet during the songs) being louder than the music, which (as can happen with live mixes) fluctuated a bit in volume. I carefully limited the whole recording (retaining the natural dynamics of the music though, it's just more balanced now). They were on fire, promoting their third album, "Stage Fright" and the fantastic set list that day was:

1. The Shape I'm In (great opener)
2. Look Out Cleveland (works great as the second track)
3. The Weight (a bit rushed)
4. King Harvest
5. The Unfaithful Servant (fantastic guitar solo by Robbie)
6. Jemima Surrender (very energetic, works surprisingly well)
7. Rockin' Chair
8. Time To Kill
9. The Genetic Method
10. Chest Fever
11. The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down (always an enjoyable piece)
12. Across the Great Divide
13. Up on Cripple Creek (a very confident rendition)
14. Strawberry Wine
15. I Shall Be Released
16. This Wheel's on Fire
17. Don't Do It
