Hi girls

just a follow up and end on the voice thing:

My ENT couldn't believe how good I sounded today 5 months after the surgery, she said even that she "loved" the speaking voice.

The examination shows a perfect healing. no trace of the thread or any scars.
The vocal chords are just a tiny bit red but nothing bad. It was my last appointment. May be I will book one or two session with a speech therapist for the singing part, yes may be  as well my voice will still evolve along the next months (or even years), but I can say that this chapter is finished. As of today the total gain is 160 Hz from the base voice

PS : I've shared my fears with the ENT that my voice might go down again, but she said that now it's impossible, and she confirmed that I use a little bit too much energy when I speak,  I need to reeducate on how to speak using so much less energy, since now I don't need it

What a wonderful outcome, Christelle.....many congratulations and good-wishes for future success; both with your voice and your music. :-*

Good to hear it all came out well and you got a result you're happy with. Too often we hear stories of VFS not giving us the voice we expected but in your case you seem to be exactly where you want to be.

It seems this is one of the best outcome and certainly one of the 2 or 3 most dramatic increases in pitch that we have seen so far. Very interesting. I still wonder what is causing these differences in pitch increase. I know some patients had glottoplasty and then looked into additional surgery or laser tuning to get the pitch increase they expected.

As you know I've REPEATEDLY ask Prof. Remacle why the heck I have this result, to understand and to communicate this here on Susan, but I had NO clear answers from him
