So I finally came out today to a friend I know in real life! We were talking about how it's Transgender Awareness Week, but I just couldn't say anything - but right before we went our separate ways, I turned around and said, "By the way - this week? It applies to me!" Then I basically ran home, since it was pouring. A few minutes later, I sent her a message from my female Facebook account, asking her not to tell anyone. In her reply a minute later, she immediately said that she accepted me. I'm just so happy, there aren't words to describe it. Not even the outright downpour can sour my mood!
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long, till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Congratulations!

I know, for me, the first person I told was the hardest.....  It gets easier with each one.  :)

Congrats!
Also real friends will ACCEPT
you, no matter what.

another way to see it is this;
Your friends became a friend because
they like *You* not a gender, not
a norm of a gender or anything like
that, people who are friends are that way
because they like hanging with you and
they enjoy you being.. well you!
