Hello all,

Pardon me for this long rant of happiness! So this morning I had my first appointment with an OBGYN/Endocrinologist and he was truly amazing. Right of the bat he was using proper pronouns and asked me for my name! I'm not presenting as female just yet. It warmed me up to be treated so well and made the three plus month wait totally worth it.

They got all of my basic information and discussed the HRT that I've been on for a month and three days. He doesn't like that I'm taking finesteride but he's going to continue me on it. He also is open from me switching from spironolactone to zoladex. Just have to see if the VA carries it. Since I didn't have pre-hrt labs, I'm doing those tomorrow before he decides to change any doses. He said I'm on a lower dose of Spiro than he normally uses. He's also doing a karyotype testing. Plus I'm taking place in a study he's doing on transgender people and genetics.

I didn't realize I was going to have to undress, so I turned many shades of red. I'm still self conscious naked. There was also a woman doctor in there with him so I was a little more.... Aware. They did what they normally do on a physical, and when he looked at my breast and started feeling for buds, he was like yep, yep (I was saying ouch haha), stated I'm a Tanner 2 and then said excuse me Tanner 3 after feeling and looking. I smiled so big! He says I'm already getting great development. Apparently my body likes estrogen! Then they did the dreaded testicle check and I was so mortified. I probably looked like I was going to die from embarrassment alone! Plus I didn't ever think a woman would touch my ladybits. Everything checked out just fine.

I'm so excited and happy and wanted to share this next step in my journey with y'all. :)

Thank you! :)
I think I'm definitely sticking with him vs the clinic I went to. It's so much more personal and just how he effortlessly used proper pronouns, even when I overheard him speaking to staff. Plus he just seems so educated on this. :):):):)
