Even collar-length hair can be too short for a ponytail. I would wait a bit. With kindness,Terri
Quote from: ThaliaNyx on November 20, 2015, 12:13:24 AMUnfortunately, for the past couple months, my parents - despite being supportive of my transition - have been telling me to do something with my hair or they'll cut it. Would it be a bad idea to try going out with it in a mini-tail-thing, and if so, why?
Quote from: Maybebaby56 on November 20, 2015, 05:59:09 PMHmm. That doesn't seem very supportive to me. I don't see how they can be "supportive" of your transitioning and deny you something as simple as letting you grow your hair out. However, if this is not an issue you want to confront them over, then yes, a little "mini-tail" is "doing something about it", just like they asked. Go for it.Terri

I don't really know what my dad thinks, because when he found out he basically said that I shouldn't tell anyone because it'll ruin my reputation, and that he doesn't think I'm a girl. He hasn't said anything about the subject since, and I'd actually rather it stayed that way. Anyways.Mom's supportive of my transition, but recently she started telling me that my hair was becoming quite unkempt. I have to agree, as I was mostly just letting it poof out at the time. Nowadays, I always brush most of my hair back behind my ears. The problem with that, though, is that my hair tends to poof out again throughout the day.
