|Dark Angel|

I figured I'd finally sign up and stop lurking, lol.

A brief summary:

I'm 25 and a M2F. I knew something was different about me at 4 years old! I was wearing my sisters dresses and not wanting to do boy stuff. I would always find ways playing with my sister that involved me ending up in a dress or a skirt.  I grew up withdrawn from other boys and instead made friends with mostly girls. Discovered the "goth" scene in High School. Was dressing at home like a girl every chance I had. At school I was an androgynous goth. Didn't really get bothered surprisingly. I was thin and very femme looking.

Fast forward past the drug filled, suicidal, homeless years of 2000-2005... I got involved in the industrial music scene a few years ago. I discovered many cool clubs in L.A. where I could be myself and not get bothered. I could dance and just have fun!

I'll leave that part of the bio at that. I could write a book about my life during the years of 2000-2005, but I don't have the time yet! Now on to me starting HRT and more about me:

I FINALLY started HRT this year in May! ;D Took a long time to get there and now, 7 months in, I couldn't be happier. Now some of my vitals and fun stuffs.

Height: 5' 7"
Weight: Girls don't tell! J/K lol. 125.
Favorite Colors: Black and Pink
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Natural brunette, but I always have it dyed blue black!
Piercings: Both my ears, my septum, my tongue, my lip, and my nose.
Tattoos: None, but I have an appointment for my first one on January 4th!
Musik: Industrial, E.B.M., goth, punk, metal, alternative, classical, 80's, etc...
Languages Spoken: English (Fluent), German (Bout 70% fluent)
Hobbies: I'm a musician. Guitar, synthesizer, piano, and violin.
Clubs I can be seen at: Malediction Society, Das Bunker, Perversion, Zeitgeist, and Ruin. (All in L.A.)

K, that's it for now! I split my time online between here, MySpace, and LADEAD. My nickname is |Dark Angel|" and my name is Jessicka. Either one works! Sorry for the jumbled up intro, it's 1 am here...  :o Oh yeah here's a fairly recent pic of me from my MySpace page(in my profile). I'm the one on the left in the stompy boots. Having a drink with a friend at Malediction Society.

I dig the smaller more underground places in SF too.  Not the '->-bleeped-<-' scene, but more the general weird/odd/alternative/underground/hang-out type places myself, though SF does not have near the goth deal as LA, its more just mixed into the rest of it.

Hi Jessicka, welcome to Susan's and I do pray that you will find what you need here, there are many different sources you can access for information. Goth? As interesting as it sound I believe I might be just a little to old, and weird enough as it is. But I will be involved working with a local Renfest soon, That is the closest I ever got to go into the acting scene. I use to put on little a theatrics at home with friends, but never in public. By the way you are quite good looking in the picture.

Hi Jessicka,

You look, and sound like you already have a good handle on things in your life.

Goth is not my scene either but my son is into the goth music scene in San Francisco.
At least I think that is one way to describe it. I bet he would disagree.

Keep us informed.  We can always learn from new people.

Thank you all for the kind introductions! Yes, L.A. does have quite a varied goth/industrial scene. They are very open minded and accepting of everyone. Haven't been to SF yet, but I'd like to before I move. My heart is in Germany though. I'm going back to Berlin for vacation in February and then moving there permanently the end of 2008! Very excited. They have arguably one of the best scenes there in the world. And I just love the people and the country. It's so pretty out there!

Welcome, Angel. You look great.

Berlin?!! How fortunate for you. I left in 1982 and have never gotten back. When you get there drop a hallo am Lietzenbuergerstrasse, bitte. And should you get out that way the area of the Hasenheide misses me I'm sure. As does the Hallische Tor. *sigh* O, to be young again.

Good trade, LA for Berlin.

The only goth in Ibiza?  Kind of like the only surfer in Kansas.  The SF scene is pretty much dominated by the huge (more than slightly) gay clubs and circuit parties (that in LA tend to all get held out Palm Springs), so I think the music (for DJs) is pretty much that Ibizia sound of 7 years ago, very techno - or its out of the Bay Area hip-hop deal, and that's way different.  SF's real musical deal is really band centered more than DJ culture stuff.

I think its easier to do some of that club jumping in Europe where the distances between Ibiza, London, Berlin are not as daunting as going from NYC, to LA, to SF, to New Orleans.  And there are more travel options in Europe too, for the USA trip you would fly and rent a car, or just drive the whole deal, NYC to LA by train is 4 days, when its running on time, which is never.

Danke schon! I'll be staying in the area of Storkower Strasse and doing a lot of shopping in Mitte Berlin! Lot's of alternative shops out there. I'll also of course be clubbing while there at the in(famous) K-17 on Pettenkoferstrasse. Plus theres a bunch of other cool gothy/stompy clubs within minutes of each other by S-Bahn! I'm gonna try and fit in a trip up to Hamburg as well...

Ja, it is a much better trade of L.A. for Berlin! Can't wait! ;D

Yes it is much easier in Europe to get around to the clubs and there are so many good ones! Here is a quick list to give an idea!

I can't say that I have appreciated the benfits of Berlin or LA, but I wish you all would stop making me feel so old.
Let's remember the good ol' times.

Love what you are doing. Really!  Just jealous.
