I was just bit by a strong wave of dysphoria. Stronger than I've felt for a while, likely because I have been suppressing it to an extent. I think I do that a lot just to stay sane. A great deal of this has to do with shark week, which makes me feel depressed as is and sometimes the influx of hormones will make me feel female/feminine. When that happens, I know what is about to happen. I was upset but keeping it at bay and now I'm just full-on dysphoric.
Feel free to ignore this and I'll likely delete this later, I just needed a place to vent.

I get this every month with shark week too. I don't like wearing boxers at that time (i'm paranoid about getting them stained!) and i find little things like wearing plain briefs way harder than i should. so you're not alone ;)

I try to focus on the idea that it might not be that much longer til i don't get a period any more; waiting for treatment is still less time than waiting for the menopause...

I´ve thought about the idea of making a calendar with every shark week until you can get on T. Like cross it off every time, so less shark weeks remain.

If you have long to wait, perhaps ask your doctor for progesterone-only pills to keep shark week at bay or under control. I am using it while I wait, and I feel no change in temperament and no PMS, no dysphoria, not to mention blood is almost non-existent.
