Horrible dream. I was walking home, and someone came up and started problems with me. They were drunk and they started screaming at me and yelling and telling me I took something of his. Then he pushed me down to the ground and started kicking me, as he is screaming and yelling. The weird part was there was a lot of people around and he didn't bother them really just me. Then I stood up and he full on hit me in the face. I couldn't even do anything. Then he pulled a gun out and put it under my chin and that's when I forced myself awake.

Oh so sorry you had such a nightmare hugs...

Have you had any close encounters where you have felt threatened?
Also maybe its something from the past that's resurfacing, maybe triggered by feeling isolated and who you are?

What I do when I have less than wonderful dreams and end up awake half the night, is to think of all those positive things in life, or a dream of life in the future.

Try and get a good nights sleep tonight xxx

Hugs

Is someone messin' with you in real life, Misty? Are you worried about something or someone? If you notice any suspicious characters floatin' around, please don't hesitate to call the police.

Best thing you could do for yourself right now is make yourself a nice, warm glass of milk and scoot on back to bed so you can rise, shine and enjoy Thanksgiving day like me and everyone else!  :P Be safe.

P.S. Maybe put on a funny, feel-good type of movie to sleep to or some relaxing music. Anything positive you can think of, sleep to it. It helps!^^

I have not had any close encounters as myself.

I am meeting new people later today, and they are supposed to be a  local support group. Because I dont know them i am not going as myself(looks wise... i.e. womens clothes etc.) I am who I am so i will always be me. but i am nervous in meeting these people.

Do you, perhaps have social anxiety? I do. I think alot more people have this than what's known. Even my social worker says she has it.

I think it depends on how serious a person's social anxiety is. If it bothers you this much, I'd seek help like from a therapist or something. I could recommend a couple of herbal supplements that may help you sleep much better. They helped me with my nightmares. Wish I still had 'em.

This nightmare you had could signify something you may have saw like on tv or heard or picked up from somewhere and it traumatized you. This happened with me a couple of years ago when I dreamed that my father was murdered in cold blood by too scary-looking, shadowy figures riding bikes, whom I assumed to be trouble making neighborhood kids. Prior to going to sleep that night, my sister told me a horrible news story that occurred with a black man being murdered. Somehow, that worked its wicked way into my subconscious mind and played itself out in this terrifying nightmare. The mind is an enigma. This is why I never watch the news, unless at a place where I have to like at my volunteer work, dialysis, anywhere in public where there is less control over tv channels or something. Watch what you feed your mind just like how you watch what your feed your body. If you believe it, you will achieve it. Be careful.

That all makes alot of sense except for me, I don't watch TV. it poisons your mind so I stay away from it. there might be something to it though, I just couldn't say what.

The therapist is on the way, I am looking at many locally and making appointments as I can.
