"If a person is gay and seeks God and has
goodwill, who am I to judge?"

I feel like he gets it, finally he will
help millions remember the fact that they
are not to judge others. I guess
Pope Francis *Read* the bible for real,
and is aware of this verse:

(Luke 6:37)
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven."

WHY ALL THE HATE IN THE CHURCH AND OF OUR FELLOW CHRISTIAN BOTHERS AND SISTERS?

The reason is primarily cultural not religious. They use biblical writing to justify cultural beliefs but it isn't direct teachings of yeshua. He left us with one commandment: love one another as I have loved you. Most of us fail.

Sorry to butt into the Christian forum as as atheist, but I do wonder what you love so much about this pope? He's the same old thing with new PR. Apparently, according to Francis, transpeople are, like GMOs and nuclear weapons, against the natural order of creation and thus sinful. Not to mention that y'all are irresponsible and should be happy with your bodies. He's an utter homophobe and bigot in general, smiling at LGBT people on the one hand while condemning them with the other (let's not forget the pretentious "love the sinner" rhetoric), actively campaigning against gay marriage, excommunicating members of his church who want to advance women's rights in the church, and of course, putting journalists on trial for trying to expose Vatican corruption. I mean, it's not that I'm trying to deconvert you here (although I wouldn't be sad if any of you became atheists) - you can be Catholics who oppose the pope, you can join another Christian denomination or anything, I wouldn't mind - but please, don't make the mistake of thinking that the last absolute monarchy of Europe is going to appoint a pope who will bring genuine progress.

The only reasonable position is agnostic, which is that we don't know one way or the other and it doesn't matter in that the reality we exist is the only one we know. Life as we experience is short, so make the best of it. Atheism itself is a belief system in that there definitely isn't a deity. How do you know? Neither premise can be adequately proved and again, it really doesn't matter. What I find worst in humanity is the evangelism of everything. People not only have a desire to be "right", but to to try to or in some cases make sure that everyone else in their purview believes the same. That said, I am not evangelizing here. I don't care what people believe as long as they keep it to themselves and normally I do. That said, I went to episcopal parochial school until the 8th grade. I've had enough religion for two lifetimes.

I'm not supporting Catholics.
I was more so minding a quote from
this person whom just so happens to
be the current pope. The thing is
Jesus said close to the same thing.

Also another note would be this:
If I was created for God with a purpose;
well maybe this was it to be living as
a transmen. I don't know still searching
and learning my self.

Life itself is the gift. Everything else is up to us.
