Hello my name is Chloë. I'm a man living in Oregon. I started crossdressing and feeling i was the wrong gender at 8 years old. The few times my Mom caught me in her clothes i was told i was a sin. I feel I've been living with a dark secret all my life and and have thought about or tried killing myself. I recently started thinking of transitioning. Unfortunately in my area of the state there doesn't seem to be any help. I've been unemployed for 9 years. The closest place in state is Portland. I jsut don't know what to do or where to begin :(. I'm was looking for help or support in the part of my life when i stumbled in here.

Hey Chloe,

I live on the coast near Astoria and can recommend the Q Center in Portland to you.  Check out their website and schedule of events with several support groups for trans people.  We also have a trans support group and growing Q Center in Astoria.  Check out Facebook sites for transgender people here too.

There are thousands of contributors and ten times more passive readers here, you are not alone.  I hope you will feel comfortable enough to share some of your questions with us and enjoy the treasure trove of past posts.
Open, out and evolving queer trans person forever with HRT support since March 13, 2013
