Phone Discussion with Acting Clinical Team Manager of Leeds Gender Identity Clinic

http://transgenderlief.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/phone-discussion-with-acting-clinical.html

"In an earlier blog post you can find here I talk about an E-mail that I sent to leeds GIC, and I got a phonecall the next morning after sending this E-mail from the acting clinical team manager of the clinic! I have to say this was the fastest response, most informative and most attentive contact I have had from leeds GIC since I was referred back in 2013. Its a shame it took a complaint for it but oh well, The conversation was pretty long and I was unprepared so my questions could have been better over the phone. Here is a transcript of the phonecall done by the clinic themselves, so it does have bias however if I had written it there would have been bias too so I can't complain."

I think the gic clinics need to be reformed to reflect the modern situation, and standardised so you get the same treatment everywhere. Either that or get rid of them and just refer people to local professionals.
