Hello I'm Jesse and I'm 34 FTM. I'm currently trying to get on testosterone and having problems doings so. Looking to meet others who can assist me. I have been comfortable being who I am. I came out when I was 17 and still to this day my family doesn't completely agree with it. I am the man in my home and I really want to be on the outside the person who I feel like on inside. Please if anyone can help I live in Bradenton Fl

Welcome to Susan's Place, Jesselee;

I can't offer you any advice as I went the other way but I will say that you have come to the right place. There are other people like you on here I'm sure so you aren't alone and in some ways, we are all in the same boat so to speak.

There is a lot of information on here though that may be of use to you and feel free to ask questions. There is bound to be someone who will know the answer.

All the best to you.

Love,
Clare

Hi Jesse,

I don't live in Florida so I'm not sure what local resources are available to you. If you're near a metropolitan area, I would be surprised if there were not resources available for you. I'd encourage you to Google your city and terms that match what you're looking for - gender therapist, lgbtq center, lgbtq clinic, hormone replacement therapy, transgender hrt, transgender hormones, transgender support group, etc.

If you're able to find any LGBTQ groups in the area, they would be the first resource I would direct you toward. They are usually fairly aware of what resources are available for transfolks and where to go to find trans friendly medical care.
