On the odd occasion I have been to gay clubs / pubs I have always been fully excepted. I went with another TS and the guy guys there thought we were a couple of lesbians. I have also been chatted up at a gay pub by an attractive lesbian girl that didn't know I was TS.

1. Yes, generally. Although we all know about the separatist lesbians a la the Michigan Womyn's Fest.

2. Yes, even pre-everything, I was able to attract lesbians, I have been told a couple times that I make "jaws drop" when entering dyke bars.

3. When I was recently post-op, it seemed like lesbian women were paying more attention to me, it was like they somehow "knew." Of course, it must have been my confidence and the way I carried myself knowing that I was no longer incomplete.

One other comment on being pre-op, I heard that there were a lot of bi- or lesbian women who like to "explore their kink" with pre-ops. I never really determined if that was true or not.

Looking back at the countless times that I have been"chatted up" by lesbians, except instances in which they said something very specific, I never knew if they "knew." I have gotten into several tiffs in which women would flirt with me while they are on a date with another woman or even with their partners. I don't so the bar scene anymore, I kinda miss the drama though!

Umm, just the one I live with. Well, that might not be completely true as on the once every six months my partner and I go dancing in the BIG CITY at a lesbian bar we both have been 'chatted up" a couple of times by singles. At least they seemed to be so.

One aspect of the bar scene that I have noticed over the past thirty or so years in it are that "men's" bars are more likely to be places where one gets "hit on" than are women's bars.

That may not be true everywhere and anymore. I am not a "bar scene" afficionada and my research in this area is limited to the 1980s when I did go to bars a great deal.

But, I would say the odds of getting "hit on" in a women's bar if you aren't totally alone is pretty slim. Girls seem to have groups and don't seem to make a habit of breaking in on other groups for the purpose of trying to "pick up" other women.

Guys, *smirk* seem to have been anyway, haven't been in a male bar for fifteen years, more of the 'horn-dog' nature than women.

The women in our lesbian spirituality group seem to think of me as "one of the girls." If not they hide their concerns better than any group of people I have ever been around.

I live in a rural area, so there isn't much tendency to segregate, otherwise one would be hanging out alone. I'm accepted by everyone I know within our local LGBTQetc community. Understood? well that's a whole other question

When dealing with well to do gays, I have not had any problems. My interaction with the lesbian community is pretty low due to the fact I am not dating and into BDSM (which I have found is looked down upon, lesbian couples who are friends have noted that they have run into the same).

2. Yes, I tend to attract cisgendered lesbians who have a strong butch streak (looks and/or attitude) and the occasional femme.

3. None of anyone's business and I do not walk around naked so....

I haven't been excepted at all. However, I'm confident that will change at least a little after HRT as I don't pass worth a damn now.

I "thought" I was part of the gay community prior to coming out.  But, of course, I was soooooooooooooooooo wrong.  When "they" found out I was transitioning, the phone calls stopped as well as the Thanksgiving and Christmas invitations.  I guess that tells you how "friendly" they were.  It was hard at first but today, I wouldn't give a flying fly for any of those people!
