To be a little more specific, I'm wondering about the survival of transplanted hairs (that have had time to settle and grow for 6+ months) if you were to get surgery and cause swelling around the area. The surgery in mind is forehead reconstruction WITHOUT scalp advancement and brow lift.
Looking at old threads, most people say hair transplants that were done before FFS is a waste of money, but I noticed the main reason is because they were considering a hairline advancement (which is more cost effective, and the skin w/ hair transplants might be excised away).
If someone already had a successful hair transplant for the corners, would the coronal incision (located a few cm behind hairline) cause the death of the transplant hairs? I read that even non-transplanted hairs do shed after major surgery, including SRS, but they do grow back.
Anyone had experience with this? Where they had hair transplants early on and decided later to do plastic surgery that cut really close to the hairs?
Thanks
