So I really want to get ffs ! I just don't know with who yet I would love dr spiegel but he's just to expensive , I just want to achieve a natural feminine look I don't want it too look like I had work done and I'm really scared about flying out the US and going to South America and getting my face messed up 😔 , what other surgeon is known for giving a natural result that isn't as expensive as spiegel

It really depends on what you need, and what you are starting with. Not everybody needs the same surgical techniques, to achieve the desired result, especially I have in mind upper facial area. I dont know everything about all US surgeons... honestly, some are not really at their best at achieving natural feminine results. Dr. Ousterhout and Deschamps-Braly who work together, would be my first suggestion for natural looking results (even though dr. Ousterhout wasnt really known for natural looking noses nor chins in the past..). Second would be Spiegel. I know this isnt of any help, because those two are even more expensive than Spiegel.
Other than that I would suggest you to look outside US.. I personally dont see an alternative in US, unless if you need only subtle change in forehead&orbital area, in which case there are others doctors you should look at. Dr. Mayer comes to mind, and dr. Bensimon from Montreal. Some other might be in the little different direction, not necessarily ideal for those who seek naturally-feminine look.

If you are willing to look outside... I personally believe that dr. Di Maggio has the most natural looking results of all FFS surgeons. Often very subtle and delicate despite very aggressive bone transformation where its needed. There is dr. Van der Dussen in Europe, and Facial team more or less aims for natural results... even though they tend to be a little less aggressive with bone work (sometimes for the better, sometimes not..). All these have a little more affordable price than dr. Spiegel.

If not for anything else you should look outside of US for a better comparison between surgeons, and different result.

other surgeons to get Skype consults from are

Dr Mardirossian ( trained under Dr Spiegel ) , North Palm Beach, Florida
Dr Rossi, Buenos Aires, Argentina

There have been several Dr Rossi threads here in the last 6-9 months, mine included.

Dr Rossi currently is "Hospital Militar Central: Chief of the Department of Surgery. Chief of the department of head and neck surgery and reconstructive facial surgery."

You should not fear going outside the US for surgery if you think the medical is of lower quality.  We may spend more on medical care in the US, but that is not an indicator of quality of health care.

I would personally never go to a doctor who didn't do type 3 (even if I didn't need it, I need to know they have the skill) or said that it "wasn't necessary" when the x-Ray indicates it is. Also, make sure they actually take X-rays of your face.. I haven't had feminizing surgery by anyone who isn't a craniofacial surgeon at least, and I don't think I would.

Yes, type 3 is definitely a must for a lot of us; I think surgeons who criticize it, do so because it's beyond their capabilities. Type 3 surgery is very major surgery, so the complication rate may be higher than other procedures, so I wanted to go to a surgeon who was close to home, so I could get the care I needed if there was a problem. I recently had surgery in another state, and I had some issues that needed attention; it is difficult to find a plastic surgeon who is willing to take on the responsibility of another surgeon's work, and you also have to pay extra money, whereas your original surgeon includes post op care in the cost of your surgery, which is something you should consider.

You're beautiful. But please, hair back, relaxed expression, full frontal, 45 degree angle and profile view. And no make up.

Debra

Yeah you look good ;) But easier to tell about FFS and esp Type 3 forehead stuff if you show a hair pulled back side profile pic.
