I would like some advice on getting a haircut (style, colour, etc)
I have had short hair my entire life so could really use the help :)

I have been thinking about a pixie cut.

Some pictures of me for reference and one I messed around with in the L'Oreal app, be honest I look like a drag queen don't I?

I'm new here so I'm not allowed to post links, but there's a website I found called The Right Hairstyles For You that has loads of hair cut ideas based on all sorts of other characteristics....have a search for it.

Apologies to the mods if this mentioning of another site (without a link) is out of bounds, but it seemed more helpful to point someone towards a useful resource than not comment at all.

As mine is growing from short to long, i have considered a pixie but now i am leaning toward more of a medium length bob - right now, i am doing the asymmetrical type with bangs longer on one side.

Your hair is a pixie cut already... I'd not dye your hair if you are planning on growing your hair a little more, because they'll grow faster if they aren't chemically treated.

To be honest with you, I doesn't recommend you at all cutting your hair shorter, if you want a feminine look. If you keep your hair long, bob or shoulder length, you would get a more feminine effect. You can pass now, but you would easier pass with long hair. The society is a bit difficult and make people think long hair is more feminine than short. Maybe you could try a bang or something. That may make it more feminine as well. Your hair color is fine now, so coloring isn't a must.

When I look at the first picture where you have more longish hair, it's more feminine. But at the other picture where you are pulling your hair back, it looks much shorter. But it's up to you what you want to do, it's your hair. I just came with a couple of advice.

Thanks all for your great comments.

I have decided to let it grow, because I've always wanted long hair :)

I also think you can tell how much weight I've lost between this one and the earlier photos :D

I think you did a very good decision when you decided to grow your hair out. Long hair would suit you definitely.  :) It begin to look nice now.

Well it's been a month since I last posted here and I'm really happy with my hair being longer.

I love that it is going all curly!
I hope it stays like that and I can get the Farrah Fawcett style, I just love her hair :)
