So my doctor upped my T dose a few weeks back (he started me off lower, something about seeing how my skin would react?), and while on the lower dose I didn't feel really any change in energy levels, but since he has upped me I have gradually gained SO much more energy!  I mean, it's not like crazy or anything, but I used to be tired all the time for no reason, and now I am always alert and active.  I sleep less, but I feel better.  Part of that could be because my emotions are also a lot more stable than they were before (I could go from happy to angry or weepy pretty easily before, and now stuff doesn't seem like such a big deal, more of an "aw, well, whatever, life goes on" thing.  Dunno if that's actually the T or if I am just happier now, but it's the first time in my life that I have reacted to life this way, including back when I was on anti-depressants and mood stabilizers and other meds for my emotional problems.).  But still, I definitely have more energy.  So I was wondering... Does your average cis guy have more energy than your average cis woman?  Or is it just an effect of swapping to a new hormone?

Well, I don't know for sure but all of my cis boyfriends in the past had much more energy than me. I remember as a teenager feeling utterly run down all the time, and I still do, so maybe it's just something I have. But they always seemed able to stick crappy jobs, do demanding physical work for longer than I would, and get up each day ready to go for it again. They weren't all sporty types or anything, but just in general able to get up and go do something at any time. I've trained myself to do that over time, to work longer and harder but I do appear to have less stamina. I'm interested to see if I gain some by going on T.
