I am proud of what my dad said to me tonight.He has been so supportive and still loves me for who I am.Does not miss the old me at all and says I am a much better person in life.I had a beer with him and said he loves me as his daughter now.I was so amazed he said that to me.He knows my legal name change on my birth certificate is next year and supportive of me doing this.He saw in the past I was hurting inside seeing there was something wrong.I tried to suppress the feelings doing normal guys did and did not work.Finally 2 years ago I finally came out and glad I did.My dad sees me much happier now since living and dressing as female fulltime for 2 years now with no plans to transition.The name change caps off my transition and I can live in peace with myself now.

You are a blessed woman, with a truly loving father.

I think you have transitioned from the old life to your new life. A transition need not end in surgery as long as you find the happiness that you have been seeking. Both you and your father are to be congratulated for finding this happiness and sharing it with each other.

It is and we have watched Transtasia together also.He did tear up a little bit hearing the stories from 4 of the participants in that pagent that were like mine.I was in the closet for a long time about it and now out of the closet.

Good to read that there are parents who love there children.
