I'm still a noob here on Susan's, so this post might be old hat to some who've been out for a long time. Amoré, your story really struck a chord with me, to the point where I kept waking up thinking about you. It is so unfortunate that we transpeople must hide our true selves, and deal with all the misconceptions and stereotypes that society has placed on us.
And I also awoke thinking about the truly wonderful people on this site. Dena, Joanne_7, Ms Grace, and many others are so compassionate and honest. Values I know aren't necessarily prevalent from those who don't understand what it's like to be trans.
Thank you all.  You are inspirational.
Amoré, stay strong young lady. You've got this. :)

Hi! Thanks :)
This is such a great site for support and understanding. Having tried transition once without an online forum I know from this time around - having a place where you can find help and advice and share experiences and fears and successes - how important Susan's is.

Thank you for mentioning me but there are two thing that made my help possible. The first was the people who helped me transition many years go. Without them, I know I wouldn't be alive today. The second is Susan herself. Many years ago she had the vision of a web site that would allow us to come together. She has put an enormous amount of her time and money into it in order to make it possible. Yes, I helped people many years ago but no where near the numbers that Susan has made possible for me to help.

I think that the safe and sane environment that Susan's offers will help us educate many people who are transitioning. They through their contact with other will help educate society to the fact we are just people who have to face a difficult problem but yet are the type of people who are worth knowing. To have all this happen off a simple web site is amazing.
