I am trying to figure out what kind of STP packer to get where I'm not blowing my money away. I am still new to the who STP thing so when I got the "GoGirl" (horrible name and product) I thought it would just be a nice, cheap, easy way to figure things out. Well it was definitely cheap and I got more on the floor and myself than I ever did in the toilet. That was this past May, and now it just sits on the shelf since I don't think it's at all good but being 2 days shy of 5 months on T and just despising the idea of using the woman's room, I want to try to get a realistic looking STP and packer. I've checked out the model D Sport but it seemed a bit fake, too small of a funnel (similar to the GoGirl), and with the lack of options for skin tone and me being biracial it's hard to justify getting it without some knowledge from others. I've also looked at the FreeTom site and it was a bit overwhelming, call me ignorant but what's a realistic size and how do I order with color? Like I said I'm really new to this but I don't have a lot of money to buy many different packers that don't work. Also, again I'm embarrassed to ask but with the pack n plays are they different than strap ons? I know I saw on FreeTom a thing about a pleasure rod, does that serve all parties involved? If you are looking for something with which you will never have an accident, get the p-style.  It is not a packer, just a urinary device, but it works every time with no worries and no skill involved.  The only problem is that it is not easy to conceal because it is hard plastic.  It is very inexpensive!  I think I bought 2 of them for $20 and am still using them 5 years later. The clear color is the least noticeable.

If you want a realistic phallus type device, the EZP would fit the bill, if you have a couple hundred dollars to spend.  I was a little disappointed in mine.  Yes, it is realistic, and can be used as a packer, but it is hollow, of course, and just smashes flat in my pants, making it look like a little weird.  I would say it is not a great packer, but an okay urinary device.  I have had a few accidents with it, however, so it is not as fool-proof as the p-style.  I had higher hopes for it, especially for the price.  I pictured myself using it at a urinal, but I don't think I trust it fully like I do the p-style. 

Having tried many other STPs, including making my own, I have found the best solution for me is to pack with my regular packer and carry a p-style with me if I will be out and about using a public restroom. 

Do you use the urinal or go into a stall when you use the p-style? How difficult is it to interchange the two?

I made my first STP out of a medicine spoon with the end cut off. Didn't pass at a urinal and wasn't packable, but was super easy to use and keep in my pocket. I've heard some people can't make it work with their anatomy though.

I've played around with a few of the higher end prosthetics, and haven't found any that work for me out of the box. I've modified a Mr. Limpy and that works for me just fine. If I don't want to pack but plan on STPing, I have a Number One STP that I like. It doesn't pack well IMO, but it's the only STP I've bought that works without modification.

I use a stall...and have also used it outdoors camping, in the woods, etc.  I also use it at home, just because it feels more right than sitting. It would be tough to conceal at a urinal.  I just let my packer drop a little (I do not use a harness) and stick the p-style right above it.  Completely confident, never leaks.

Which of the Number One STPs do you have? I was looking at the older one, Model D Sport I think but I wasn't sure if it would work without creating a mess. Have you ever tried any of the FreeTom 2-in-1? They look good but pricey and I don't know if they are truly good for packing and STPing.

Never used a FreeTom. The priciest I've tried is a PeeCock gen3. It's good for packing and playing, but I couldn't pee out of it.

When you use the Number One, do you pack with something else and just use that as a STP?

It seems like guys either love or hate the FreeTom and the PeeCock gen3. Actually, I think that's kinda the case for all gear. It's just with this it's scarier since it can be so expensive and I do have the dysphoria with bottom stuff.

I pretty much only STP at home or when hiking. I tried to pack with the Number One once and it didn't work very well. I usually just wear a Mr. Limpy for daily packing.

I have a lot of bottom dysphoria, but sitting to pee doesn't bother me too much aside from the inconvenience of it. I also haven't experienced any significant improvement using more expensive realistic packers. The visual doesn't really impact me - I don't look at it. It's more of a feel thing, and for me the cheaper packers have been just as comfortable or more so than the expensive stuff.

That's a really good point! I really don't think I'd be looking at it either since it's just a packer.

I would really like to feel "complete" and be able to STP but I also need to realize my financial limitations.

One fear/anxiety that I still have looming over me is the bathroom because I feel strange if I go into the stall, like somehow it's obvious and I'm not passing. I do the whole "blow my nose" thing but I don't know. Plus, even though it's been almost 7 years since it happened, I still am afraid of being assaulted again. The Brandon Teena story just seems to go through my mind when I use the bathroom at certain places. If I can't hold it and it's not a single, I try to find a busier and more inviting looking place.
