Serendipity

Greetings,
I never like starting out on a new forum...I get that combination of self consciousness and a kinda "oh god" feeling, like going to a new bar and feeling like you been there before and still have the bruises.
Anyway, I am a cultural outcast who keeps trying to find kindreds.
A little about me.....
I am a white, upper middle class happy married father of 3, I go to church, pay my bills ....to much taxes... I hunt and eat what kill, I fish and I have my own gardens. Solar panels on the roof and a gas sucking ford truck. I was military and the law enforcement. I have the best wife in the world who constantly argues with me about who owns the teal lycra tank top and matching panties. I pick out and buy her outfits and can be found wandering my house reading American rifleman magazine in a knee high flowing skirt. I am sensitive and cry when things are just wrong. I have both a male side that loves engineering and complex builds  and  female who loves to cuddle and be held and listen to the rain. I am financial conservative when it comes to my money an socialy liberal when it comes to freedom and equality.
See what I mean? I don't fit anywhere, lol.
I believe in freedom and individual right to live and die as a person sees fit but will also be the first person reaching in to help.
Summarize it like this....I am writing this on a cell phone with a mossy oak case wearing red sox sleep pants and a matching set of blue panties and tank from maidenform. My toe nails are painted pink and my finger nails have grease under them.......
Starting to see why I don't fit in anywhere?
I have finally reached a Point in my life where I understand that I will always be both Chris and Sarah, both in one body taking turns on which side is dominant at any given time.
Thanks for reading my meandering thoughts.

Well, you will fit in well here.  There are lots of ex military here and while I don't shoot my guns much anymore I still have 11 of them of every sort in the closet.  So welcome to the forum and jump right into the deep end.

Welcome to Susan's Place. In other words, you fit right in here and I love your sense of fashion. All my professional life I have programmed computer and have been the go to person on something technical but I have lived the last 35 years as a woman. There is no clear definition of what is male and what is female in the TG world and the best way to describe it is you are for some reason uncomfortable with your birth gender. It's good that your wife is so accepting and you seem to be comfortable so far. You are welcome here for social or transition needs and if there is anything we can do to assist you, let us know.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

I feel like I have found a community where I finally just might fit in.  Serendipity, it sounds like we have much in common.

Hi Serendipity.... Welcome.... Understand the apprehension - took me a year to post my introduction - so pleased that you have overcome it to join.

You sound the nicest mix of traits, social, caring, practical, supportive, protective.... That you have a very supportive OH is a huge plus.... and if this enables you to be Chris or Sarah as and when you need, and there is happiness in your life and those around you, that should put you in a good place.  BTW, love the meaning of your user name - and hope that it is truly a 'fortunate happenstance' that has brought you to us.... xx

Well, let's see.  Former Navy, wanted to be a Texas Ranger (LEO not baseball) as a kid but never did.  The new issues of my wife's American Rifleman and my American Hunter are next to my chair, the Winchester safe in the basement is overflowing, the freezer has a lot of venison in it and my daily carry is a Glock.  We just got home from Christmas Eve service at church, I cried my eyes out last night seeing The Danish Girl, my truck is a Dodge, I could probably rebuild a Chrysler 440 without the book and I'm sure I can rebuild a 340 in my sleep although I don't work on vehicles anymore.  I will admit I HATE fishing.  When we got home from church I slipped on a pair of capri leggings and a lavender sleep shirt along with my satin slippers.

So any of this starting to sound familiar?  I think you'll fit right in here.

Hi
Sounds pretty good to me. I (being in the UK) have limited access to weaponry (only a couple of air rifles and a compound bow) but, hey, frocks (dresses) and firearms - what could possibly go wrong?! And I am deeply envious of anyone who can fix a car without a dealer or a computer!

BTW - taxes suck here, too, especially on gas and income.
