Hi everybody! Today marks 1 month since I started HRT! :) I know that most say I'm not supposed to notice much at this point, but I can already feel my skin is getting much softer, and my fat is starting to redistribute. My sex drive is also non-existant right now.

The one thing I'm worried about are my breasts. I've heard I shouldn't notice anything with those until I'm about 3 months in, but something has definitely changes. I can feel some very hard, rock-like lumps behind each of my nipples now, and my chest is much more tender. If I lay on my stomach/chest, for example, I feel the hard objects behind my nipples almost stabbing me. A little painful, but should it be surprising that I am seeing development already?

Thank you so much! :)

Ms Grace

I wouldn't worry, that sounds about right. It will be tender for a while - look out for hugs, door frames, soccer balls and random kittens.

Welcome to becoming a woman RedheadWhovian; all you described is normal, your nipples will become tender too.  As Ms Grace said to get ready for the times then they get bumped ever so lightly to getting a soccer ball directly at your chest, all will hurt in some way.  This is one reason girls wear padded bra for the protection they give you. Many times the light hits to your chest just remind you they are there and growing.

Congrats on the progress! I was feeling definite breast changes and soreness at one month.

Haha glad to hear it's normal! :) I accidentally bumped into my couch arm the other day, and I was shocked by how I felt pain there for once. Yet it made me happy. XD

Thank you so much! Do you think I should start wearing a bra at this point? They are still quite flat, but I can definitely tell they are protruding a bit more, and they are really getting tender.

Before HRT i was wearing bras about half the time. That went to full time after, i felt better supported and more protected wearing a bra.

Oh okay! Thank you so much for the advice.

I began to notice the tenderness around one month on "low-dose."  I think it's normal, but personally, I haven't noticed anything "hard" in that area (only the tenderness).  I've been keeping measurements and I have had noticeable growth, but nothing that would be immediately obvious to the public (while wearing a shirt) considering my anonymity.

Wearing a bra is much more comforting to me compared to none, but I am still not out to my family and friends about it.  If I were in a position of being more open, then I would definitely relieve myself and ease the pain from tenderness by wearing one.

Congratulations!
