Jessie Ann

I had my FFS with Dr. Lee at the end of August and have been very happy with my results. I've posted about it a couple of times and posted an extensive review on the realself web site with a number of pictures. I still have some swelling but overall I think it looks fantastic and I am very satisfied. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

For Dr. DB we need to go to him in SF and he takes x-rays, also consultation fee :(  I guess I'll do that when I get a chance to go up there.

Shoko,  your comment raises an important issue.  The concept or idea of a surgeon  scheduling patients for major surgery based on internet pictures or skyping, rather than after a face-to-face personal evaluation  and full work-up - - is really not a great idea.  Absent a true trauma emergency, such as maybe a car wreck accident patient that shows up in the emergency room,  doing surgery without a prior face-to-face evaluation and full work up may even be medically unethical.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that most of the typical FFS surgeries really ARE major surgeries.  Some of them last 8 or 10 or 12 hours !    Convenient short-cuts are probably not a good idea.

That's the thing, I just had a consult with Dr. Toby Mayer and he said he never needs to do anything other than just shave the brow.  So I'm curious if my bone is thin or not, and how he does it like that for everyone.  But technically speaking it's still minor surgery..

Then Toby Mayer is full of it or has only ever had type 1 patients which is unlikely

I had him say this as well and I posted as such in my own thread. But someone pointed out: Look at his results pics on his website ;)

FYI the quote I got from Dr. Mayer was ridiculously high (more than Dr. Harrison Lee)

Wait, I forgot that Dr. Lee gave me a 20% professional discount.  I just wasn't sure what that meant, but I guess it was real

I got a really nice professional discount when I had my forehead surgery, because I worked at the same hospital as the surgeon.

 :police:

One more medic bash or people not declaring themselves and the FFS thread goes off for a few weeks.

You have been warned on multiple occasions

I understand the medic bash comment but what is the 'not declaring themselves' referring to?

Hi Debra,

Excuse me if I am wrong but I think what Cindy means ' not declaring themselves ' is people who might be affiliated to or work for various surgeons. Marketing is the word I am also looking for.
