Hey guys so I've been on hormones for almost 7 months now, it's been great and I've had great results so far but I was wondering about my sex drive? Now before I start I might be over reacting but whatever. So anyways, ever since the beginning of hormones till now I noticed my sex drive go down more than ever but then there's times where it really increases and I want to have sex really bad. I may be over thinking but it's almost like my sex drive is not consistent? I really don't care if it goes up and down but I just wanted to hear about everyone else's sex drive experience on hrt to see if this is normal? Also correct me if I'm wrong but I remember someone telling me that they weren't able to ejaculate or get erected on hormones? I honestly don't care if I can't get erected or ejaculate because I hate my genitallia and only use it to masturbate a sexual urge, so I'm pretty sure I can ejaculate and get erected but not sure if that's a normal thing? This is one topic I haven't researched much. If you can share your experiences and what you think about these topics it will help thanks :)

It varies for everyone. Some cannot get erect or ejaculate. Some can some of the time. Some can all of the time. It just depends on the person. If you find it fluctuates it may be related to your levels and the method you use for hormone delivery, are you on injections? That seems to cause a wider range of levels over a short period, that's my guess but it could be completely wrong.

Ehh... My sex drive decreased a lot at first. And a few days to a week after my first period, which was about 2-3 months in, I had a whole day where I was super aroused. Then for a while it seemed rather consistent, where I'd get horny and want to get off maybe once a week or once every other week. Sex drive changed too, so the way I'd get aroused was different. I wasn't getting very hard and not for long at all when I managed to. Then for a bit it seemed to be either before or after my period I'd get particularly aroused. Now that I'm on prometrium, my sex drive has gone way back up. Whether it's because of that or not I'm not sure, I'll have to see how my blood test results are in a month or so. Feels almost like my t-levels are back up, but maybe not. I'm masturbating either once a day or every few days, so big change there. I'm getting hard a bit easier, but maybe that comes with use. And then my arousal is split between how it was and how it's been since starting HRT, so partly visual and partly fantasy-based. It's kind of a rollercoaster really... I'm just going with it and trying not to worry.

Yeah it's for sure a roller coaster. I would of thought these things would be more consistent just like my other results because I'm taking the same meds now for months  spiro estradiol. I don't know I guess I'll have to ask my doctor on the 4th. Maybe I should ask a cis friend if she experiences her sex drive like this.

I've only been on T-blockers since Nov 24, and started my estrogen/progesterone on Dec 23rd, and I can say since starting my sex drive has tanked hard.  I used to almost 'pester' the wife daily if she was in the mood, lately it hasn't even crossed my mind.  I'm actually curious if this is just due to early stages and my body getting used to dosages, or if this is going to be the norm.  To be fair, it's actually been kind of nice not thinking about it all the time :)

My drive has tanked in general through about month 6-7. I have seen a return but it is a lot different and more focused on emotional arousal. Erections for me are very hard to achieve, orgasms are much better but take a while to reach.

Yes I'm in the 6/7 mark and experienced a slight increase in the desire as well. I feel that when I think about sex now it's more emotional than how I used to think of it sometimes I would just prefer to cuddle lol. However I'm just naturally a sexual person to be honest so I know my sex drive will never disappear lol I just enjoy the emotional aspect of it way more now. My cis friend also said there are times where she doesn't want sex and other times when she does so I guess it's normal for someone's sex drive to go up and down. I can get erected but it is way more harder now to do that.

For the first 6-9 months on HRT, my sex drive completely disappeared. I remember that I could look straight at a woman's chest, and feel absolutely nothing. For some reason, my sex drive started to come back at bit somewhere at the 6-9 month mark. It seems to rise and fall. One day I'll really notice it, and then it's gone for another week.

To the extent that I do experience a sex drive now, it's not the same as it was before I was on HRT. Before HRT, it was like a little kid demanding candy. It just WANTED it, and it wasn't gonna shut up no matter how sick of hearing about it I was. Now, it's easy for me to dismiss it. I might see a picture on Facebook or something, and feel slightly aroused, but I usually feel little or no desire to actually act on that arousal. Even when I do, it's easy for me to just decide I don't feel like it, and it will go away quickly.

I also notice that increasingly, my sex drive acts right along other feelings. Like, I might feel a desire to look at a woman's chest, but the sexual part of that is weaker than whatever jealousy I'm feeling that she has bigger boobs than I do. I might be simultaneously feeling some slight sexual arousal, and thinking a lot about how her body differs from mine because I'm trans. I might even be thinking a lot about how I like her as a person, or what I admire about her. It's never like it used to be, where once I felt aroused, that was all there was. It's more of a quiet reminder that I'm a little bit attracted to that person.

I also very rarely actually feel the things I used to feel when I was aroused. My arousal now tends to be more of a subtle, whole body or mental thing, where it used to be like a fire in my groin. I actually very rarely even experience sensation in that area anymore when I feel what I'd call arousal now. It's more of a mental shift in attention than any physical sensation.

I don't experience much in the way of sexual thoughts anymore, either. I might notice the way a woman looks, but that's the end of it. There are no intrusive thoughts or anything I have to try to ignore. I don't really think of women sexually anymore so much as I just notice things about them that I'm kind of jealous of.

My libido completely tanked about a month into HRT. Now it feels like its starting to pick back up a lil but slowly. Its definitely become more mental and less primal.

My libido comes and goes. Varies monthly it seems or I could just be imagining it. I am on E and P. My T is undetectable at this point. 13 months HRT today.

Arousal is a bit different from male mode but not all that different. I still get the same feelings when I am around men who I am attracted to that I used to get when I dated women. Orgasms are full body as before but much more intense now, like earth shaking.

I just hope to retain enough sensation post op so I can have an enjoyable sex life.

I'm two months into Estradiol and Spironolactone, and my libido is still very good.  My unwanted equipment is still fully functional and my affection for others feels like it has increased.

I felt no difference at all until after surgery... then it tanked.

My experiences are that I hadn't experienced a single "wet dream" pre-HRT, but I now get at least one "wet dream" every two weeks, after 15 months of hormones. Also, hopefully not TMI, but this is coming from someone who is sexually active around two times per week or more.
