I'm looking for a support group in the Southwest Kentucky area. Paducah, Benton, or Murray are preferable, but would be willing to travel a little further.

Hey Raquel,  Were you ever able to find any type of support group for this area?  I also live in the same area and if nothing else, just to start off with email correspondence would be great.  I have not started any type of transition yet, but I know I have to do something soon, because the pain of dealing with this is almost more than I can handle.  I'm scared to death and if I didn't have God keeping me propped up through this, I feel like I would have already become another forty-one percent suicide statistic.

BTW, congratulations on the start of your transition.  I will have to say that I am very envious and you have a very beautiful pic.  I'm still at the ugly duckling stage.

Hi Claire, it's so nice to meet someone else in this area. I haven't had any luck finding a support group anywhere near here. I live in Gilbertsville and have been searching in the radius of Paducah and Murray since I'm in both of those cities most weeks. I've been mostly on my own as far as transition goes, since I haven't really found much help around here. I see a therapist in Paducah once a month, which I really need. I would probably see him more if I could afford to. I'd be happy to chat with you about anything you want. I know all about the suicide thoughts, I've dealt with them my whole life.
