Hi everyone,

I started my treatment a week ago. I used estradiol cream twice a week (Not taking any Anti-Androgen medications). I noticed that my left testicle is in pain. I also noticed my erection has decreased. Did I already make damage within a week?

If I'm going to stop the treatment, will my erection come back?

How long does the estradiol cream stays in your body?

How long does it take to be sterile if you are under estradiol treatment?

Thank you so much:)

Introducing estrogen into your system will generally reduce your testosterone and, therefore, also generally reduce the fullness of your erections. I hope that was explained to you when you were prescribed it. As for the testicular pain, if it persists for too long see your doctor...it could be a vericocele, an infection or something got twisted, but it is not likely to be caused by the estrogen.

Estrogen treatment will reduce sperm count but I wouldn't rely on it to make you fully sterile.

Seconding what Grace said about the orchalgia (testiclular pain).  If it continues, see your PCP or a urologist as it can be serious.  I had a nerve block done four weeks ago for orchalgia and it helped some.  Pain went from a 4 down to a 2.
