"The comedian also mocked Transparent star Jeffrey Tambor during his predictably controversial opening monologue."

Honestly, I didn't find the Caitlyn comments that bad. The Tambor comments, on the other hand, were tasteless. That's the kind of comic Gervais is.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

I was once a fan of his work until I noticed just how often he mocks trans and lgb people. He is a cis white hetero male and he thinks it is funny to swing his privilege around in people's faces. He is an elitist dolt and I no longer pay him any heed or attention.

If you want more and more publicity and trans activism and media talk about trans issues and everything else, you will also get recognition and attention from comedians and mocking and jokes and rightfully so! You can't have one without the other.
