Hi, everyone. I live in the Chicago area, and I've been looking everywhere for a speech therapist to help me develop my female voice, but to no avail. :( I've decided the least I can do is start to self-teach myself. Does anyone have any tips or methods on how to start? I have a fairly low voice, but I'm also pretty good at changing it. I can do some cartoon characters, and I like to sing a lot. People say I am half-decent at it.

Dena,

Hope its ok to hitch on this thread, but I am interested too.
Physics is like sex: sure, it may give some practical results, but that's not why we do it.

Google Kathy Perez.

I have all her CDs.  They are excellent.

Then it's up to you to practice. There is no non surgical quick fix.
Happy T Gurl living as Vicky half time.

First of all, thanks for the tip Vicky - this looks really good.
However, I have one concern. Payment for this course is processed through something called Clickbank. When I google Clickbank I see a bunch of exceptionally bad reviews for the company (a recurring theme is they aggressively upsell, pull bait and switches, and don't honor the advertised money-back guarantee):
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/clickbank.html

So that's making me a little hesitant. Can anyone allay my fears about the company that's handling the payments?

Use PayPal and then go to your profile and find pre-approved payments and cancel the recurring billing. PayPal offers butter protection too.

The "Fundamentals of your Feminine Voice" audio classes by Kathe (not Kathy) Perez are apparently being withdrawn online and are on final closeout sale  (at least that's the claim) for $43. I went ahead and purchased them through Paypal then deleted my form of payment after they received the $43, so hopefully that will avoid any tricks by the Clickbank vendor.  I figure even if they're only a little bit useful for me they'll be worth the $43.
