Am I going bald and will HRT help fix it?

Am I going bald and if so how bad is it?  I was planning on finishing my degree (in October) before coming out and going on HRT.  The fallout with family would be too stressful to deal with and I don't want anything to compromise me finishing my degree.

Sorry about that, not sure why they're not working.

Why don't you ask your doctor to prescribe you finasteride in the meantime to arrest balding? It isn't feminizing and only stops scalp hair from receding further. It is prescribed to men.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

I agree there are meds they can put you on before HRT that will help, but regardless at this stage HRT should bring everything lost back. Hugs

It seems you already have your answer but I thought I would share anyway. I had lost most of my hair up front and was starting to loose some in the back. It wasn't smooth bald, I still had the baby hairs. I'm on spiro and e and after nine plus months it is all coming back. I am almost to the point where I won't need a headband either. It will probably be a couple years until I know for sure how much will come back, but I am happy now! Winter is here but I rarely wear hats, never owned a wig.

From your pics I would say you're in no danger.

As the OP has requested their links to their pictures be removed I am locking this thread.

I would ask that everyone, when posting images of themselves online, please use image storage services that allow you to remove the image from that site yourself when you no longer want your pictures accessible or visible.
