Ask yourself this: Are you right-handed?

At some point back when you were a baby, you instinctively started picking things up with one hand or the other.
Now ask yourself, are you straight?

My ex told me in her grandfather's day back in the old country (France), at school if you were a lefty they tied your left hand behind your back to force you to write right-handed.

Hmm, you know what, they quit doing that many years ago...
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride

Yet, not so many that I haven't met people who experienced that. Apparently during the fifties and early sixties of the last century it was done with a lot of frequency.

The thing that gets me it was done by schools on a regular basis!!

I went to public school a ways back (well after the 50s and 60s, thank you) and I went in a lefty and came out a righty. No nuns. No rules. Unfortunately no bondage. Some kids have all of the fun.
