I'm facing being homeless this August. I live in the state of Georgia in the US. I don't know if any LGBT organization'(s) are willing or able to help me but at this point any help is better than none. If you know of any numbers for them I can call please tell me so I can call them. I get Gov. benefits due to my disability so I'm unsure if they can help me but I'll have to look into it but from what I've heard and seen, it's like trying to win the lottery and I don't doubt I would never win given discrimination against Trans people. I wish I hadn't been born trans or with any disabilities, then my life and other people's lives wouldn't have had to suck so bad. :(

At the moment, I'm not sure if I'm in a good place or not mentally. It certainly has been hard for me to go on each day and each day it seems to get harder to not look at the reality and hope on that unknown future, especially when said future is looking like I may very well wind up being homeless... so much for "family" eh...

I don't know what else to say...
"Denial will get people no where."
"Don't look to the here & now but rather, to the unknown future & hope on that vs. the here & now."

If you have a case worker or social worker that handles your case, you should mention this to them. Most of the time there is some form of government help available but the problem is connecting with it. LGBT groups may also be familiar with the government agency you need to contact. You might also find something on the Georgia state web site . I am on the other end of the country so I don't know much about your state.

I can never get in touch with my case worker so I'll have to go to a higher up on the matter but, thank you for that link. It may prove useful in the future but I don't think there are any LGBT organizations on that list. That's what I need most right now I think...
