Well, good news, I am at over a month on full HRT (E+spiro). I am making a little progress, but I still get very upset when I see "the man in the mirror." Anyways, My nipples have been itchy for a few weeks and have started to get quite tender. Yesterday I noticed something, my breasts are finally starting to bud! It kind of feels like a little hard ball of tissue beneath the nipple. Also, bumping into a door frame really hurts now. My skin is feeling a little softer. My hair is growing a little slower and my arms and legs don't seem as prickly. Emotionally, its hard to tell because I'm dealing with the same old pile of... I do seem to come out of the lows a little quicker though, but I do cry just a little bit sometimes. Also, cravings. I can get pretty intense cravings, and chocolate cravings are some of the most intense.

Also, I have a question concerning breast development that I would prefer that someone who understands medical stuff to answer. Let me know if I can PM you with the question.

Rachel,

I have been on HRT for just over a year and my chest has amazed my therapist, my endocrinologist, my surgeon and anyone else that has seen me up close. Yesterday I went bra shopping and bought a Playtex support bra size 42D.  To be honest, I was very overweight. In the past two years I have lost 110 pounds via a diet mainly in fresh fruit and vegetables. Loosing weight has been the most important part of my transition.

One month on HRT is just the beginning. Give yourself time to grow. Enjoy your changes.

When I first started HRT my emotions became so passive and calm. Some girls have a wild roller coaster of a ride, swinging from calm to wild without warning. We have all been there and sometimes it just helps to verbalize our feelings and let it all out.  Go ahead and ask me anything you want.
